Wiring

Be sure to connect both the power supply side and the load side so that the polarity is correct.

This is especially important in the case of three-phase transformers. 

 

Tightening the terminals

Insufficient tightening of the terminals may cause poor contact, which may induce a fire in some cases.

Ensure that the terminals are tightened sufficiently.

Use of a torque wrench or torque screwdriver is recommended when tightening.

 

Ground terminal

Ground the transformer if it is equipped with a grounding terminal. However, NEVER connect it to a gas pipe. This may cause an explosion or fire.
